Can a hierarchy of columns from fact table be constructed? [message #487049]

I deleted all references of Dimension table from the Hierarchy, and the Hierarchy now contains columns from fact table only. Now, consistency check gives another error (Dimension CustomersDim is not associated with any dimension tables ) instead of the previous error.
Inclusion of any Dimension table column revert the previous error (Internal Assertion: Condition i + 1 < numKeys).
What can be the workaround?

As far as I am aware, it's not possible to create a hierarchy based on fact columns. Hierarchies are for dimensions only.
