Dear All,

I have searched the functionality of Delete mass addition program but not available in this site. So that, i requested for the exact functionality of Delete Mass Additions Program. Which entries will delete while running this program.

Hi Madhu,

Please follow the below steps....

1. Choose Mass Additions > Delete Mass Additions from the Navigator.
2. In the Parameters window, specify the corporate book for which you want to clean up mass additions.
3. Choose Submit to submit a concurrent process to remove the lines.
When the program completes successfully, Oracle Assets automatically runs the Mass Additions Delete Report, which gives you an audit trail of the processed mass addition lines.
4. Review the log file and report after the request completes.

Thanks for Your Prompt Response, but i am not asking about navigation of DELETE MASS ADDITION Report. I am asking about functionality of "DELETE MASS ADDITION" program.

Hello.

You have to delete records in fa_mass_additions and fa_massadd_distributions

Look pdf in my oracle support "Fixed Assets Mass Additions White Paper [ID 111097.1]"

Ok, i will agree with you. can u clarify below point:-

After ran "DELETE MASS ADDITION PROGRAM" all entries are deleted which are in DELETE & HOLD queue and deleted data will hit in "FA_MASS_DELETED_ADDITIONS". Now i would like to UNDO which are in "FA_MASS_DELETED_ADDITIONS" to base tables like "FA_MASS_ADDITIONS". Is it possible.

Not sure.

FA_DELETED_MASS_ADDITIONS is for FA_MASS_ADDITIONS.
So you can recreate the row in FA_MASS_ADDITIONS with data in FA_DELETED_MASS_ADDITIONS.

But for FA_MASSADD_DISTRIBUTIONS, the row is not backed up in a table.
So you will loose the CCID et LOCATION_ID if you delete FA_MASSADD_DISTRIBUTIONS.

1. Does Mass Additions Post purge the lines in the fa_mass_additions
interface table when they are posted to the Oracle Assets system?

Hello Eric,

Ok. Can u clarify below pooint:


1. I ran the "Delete Mass Additions Preview Report" before running of "DELETE MASS ADDITION PROGRAM" and i cross check with FA_MASS_ADDITION Table using MASS_ ADDITION _ID. I found the some entries in report which are POSTED status.

According to my knowledge, DELETE MASS ADDITION PROGRAM will delete the "DELETE" status entries only but in my scenario i found the "POSTED" status entries also.

Please let me know, what is the exact functionality of "DELETE MASS ADDITION PROGRAM"

Answer

The Purge Mass Additions from Oracle Assets program removes mass additions from the interim table FA_DELETED_MASS_ADDITIONS. The items in the interim table are the audit trail from the mass addition lines that you marked DELETE and removed using Delete Mass Additions. When you purge the interim table, you lose your
audit trail.

Deleting Mass Additions from Oracle Assets (5-22)

The Delete Mass Additions program removes mass additions in the
DELETE and POSTED queues. It also removes SPLIT parents if the
split children have been posted or deleted. The program archives mass
additions in the DELETE queue only to an audit trail table,
FA_DELETED_MASS_ADDITIONS.

Change queue name to DELETE for unwanted or erroneous mass
