I have a Planning item, and have attached items to it. Each of these items have their own BOMs. Now I have created a forecast set, assigned the planning item, and done a Copy/Merge Forecast which has exploded the planning item BOM to show the items. I now create a sales order for the items defined in the planning BOM. The forecast is consumed, but am looking at how to consume the lower level component items in the BOMs of the items defined in the Planning BOM. I created planning items for the BOM items in the planning BOM - explosion happened, but forecast for the component items was not consumed by the sales order.
Ex:
Planning Item: P_1000
BOM of P_1000 contains planning items: P_10001, P_10002, 10001 and 10002. (P prefix denotes planning equivalent)
Each of the planning/actual items have its own BOM:
P_10001 - contains items a,b
P_10002 - contains items c,d
I have now created a forecast set, and assigned P_1000 to it. Copy/Merge forecast exploded it, and resulted in :(say for detail qty of 10 each)
P_1000
P_10001
P_10002
a
b
c
d
I now create a sales order of qty = 2 for 10001 and 10002. The forecast is consumed only for 10001 and 10002 showing qty of 8. a,b,c,d remain as 10. Want those to be consumed also. How to do it?
Any advise will be greatly appreciated
