session times out every 10 minutes [message #422356]

I am using toad 9.0.1.8 , every 10 minutes toad is idle it losses connection and I have to click on test connection to get back connection , please tell me how to solve this?

Ask your DBA to change your profile but maybe he estimates that if you don't do anything during 10 minutes it is not worth to keep your session.

is there any setting in toad or any script which runs at frequent intervals so that my session is not timed out ?

this will not help me I mean some thing automatic , like a script which is refreshed every 5 minutes ?

Just execute dbms_lock.sleep when you do nothing but it is better to ask your DBA to change your profile instead of trying to find a silly workaround.
