Hi!
When I'am in svrmgrl and try to connect as internal its asking me for a password - strange 'cause I had never setup a password for 'internal' oracle user.

And so I cannot startup Oracle which has been down. Any ideas on how I can connect as internal whithout svrmgrl asking me the password (or) how I can startup Oracle without connecting as internal.

Thanks in advance.

Try entering the passowrd "change_on_install" and then startup the database, shut it down and then start up again.

Hi! Thanks for the help. I have the problem solved now. The problem was that there was no dba group in /etc/group and so oracle's internal user was not being given permissions to connect.
