Hi...

i,m quite new to this Oracle Application. I need some help on how to make the flexfield mandatory for user to fill in.i have attached the image and the flexfield that i need to be mandatory is the one in red circle.appreciate if any of the forummer can help me..

It *smells* like Oracle Applications so this doesn't necessarily have to help you (as I know nothing about the same) but - if it is similar to Forms Developer - you might try the following: open item's Property Palette and, under the Data node, set the "Required" property to "Yes".

In order to help you i need to know:
-Is this field in a form?
-Does this field belong to a list of parameters for a report?

Hi,

If you are looking for making a particular segment in dff to be madatory, Open the particular segment. Enable the Required check box.

Right.
Go to Application developer resp>flexfield>Descriptive>define

Query your DFF> Go to segments and enable Required checkbox for that particular field.
