Hi all,
After loading a DB in SQL and running the OC4J Instance, I went into the forms builder. Opened a form and then went to run it. Once I enter the log in info for the database, I get the Windows Error Report form:
Oracle Forms Designer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
And then of course the Forms Builder closes.
Does anyone have an idea on the cause of this?

Did what you suggest - Connected just fine. Went to Run Form and the Windows Error Report immediately came up.
Just so we're clear, I don't even get to the part of a browser opening up to display the form. Just the Windows Error Report forms comes up. I of course choose to Send or Don't Send the report and then the Forms Builder closes.

Tried it at the lab on campus and it worked like a charm, so it's a problem on my end.
Something that may be noteworthy... while installing, an error about not being able to write to a dll came up, I had the option to retry or ignore. Retry didn't work so I ignored it.
Could this possibly be the culprit?

Took longer to get to than expected. Doing this now.
I did a full uninstall as there were too many keys to try to find the one for Forms.
There was still an ORACLE tree after doing regedit, even after rebooting twice, I deleted it and then installed again.
Error is:
Error in writing to file C:\WINDOWS\system32\mfcans32.dll
[C:\WINDOWS\system32\mfcans32.dll (Access is denied)]

Googling 'mfcans32.dll' I found "mfcans32.dll is a module that contains functions for converting between Unicode and MBCS (Multibyte-Character Set) using the OLE interface".
What language are you running on your PC?
Do you have an 'ole' application running?
Shutdown as much as you can before installing Oracle Forms.

Sorry about the confusing post, I had spent hours inserting data and it appeared to have just vanished so I was upset and flustered as you can imagine.
As of now... everything seems to work fine. I can run forms only if they are created and then ran, I can't run a saved form - at least on this machine anyway.
Thanks for everyones help.
