I developed a transaction record software for some product, I want to define a Month End Process, that when I open software it ask us the period Name like 'Jan07-Jun07' etc.

I have different tables,

my question is that how data can be stored in specify period in all tables?

I have idea in Foxpro there I create new folder and copy all the data for new period. (easy way) but i dont have idea to do this on oracle.

please help.
