How can i write delete statement in oracle form a when button pressed trigger.
that is...

delete from HM_SHIFT_DAY where SHIFT_MONTH=:text01;

Forms has built-in functionality for this. Why do you want to override?

What happened when you tried your suggested statement?

Don't you know how Forms works on blocks based on database tables?!
Better read your Forms-101 again.

I believe that Frank is trying to suggest you to use built-in Forms toolbar; among other buttons, there's also the DELETE RECORD button (a red x, possibly) which will do exactly what you are trying to do in the WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger - delete a record.

So, why would you want to reinvent the wheel?
