Hi all,

when i try to connect my oracle 9i in windows platform,
it gives me error as:--

ORA-12523: TNS:listner could not find instance appropriate for the client connection.

I really don't know what is the exact problem behind this.

Please help me.
Thanks in advance
Roshan.

ORA-12523: TNS:listener could not find instance appropriate for the client connection
*Cause: The listener could not find any available (database) instances,
that are appropriate for the client connection.
*Action: Run "lsnrctl services" to ensure that the instance(s) are
registered with the listener, and have status READY.

Regards
Michel
