Hi all,
I have installed Oracle Enterprise Linux Version 5 in my VMWare.
The host operating system is Windows Xp.
I have configured different IP address for both the Operating Systems.
In Linux, Oracle server 10g Rel 2 and oracle 10g client in Windows Xp has been installed.
I am not able to connect to oracle server from the client and I'm getting ORA-12560 while creating service.
From both the os, ping is working.

Sorry im not technical but issue would be on your VMware environment Oracle wont offer support as VMWARE is not supported. They do how ever support Oracle VM environments
