     I go for USENET. I subscribe to The Third Manifesto list, and one nasty problem with it is no threading which can make it difficult to follow a discussion that has broken up into subthreads. Subthreads are easily handled with my newsreader software.

     Like ALGOL, USENET is a great improvement over many of its successors.
