We invite you to submit latest research results at 24th International Symposium on Computer and Information Sciences -- AI, Machine Learning and Data Mining Track (September 14-16, 2009-Guzelyurt, North Cyprus)

Submission deadline is due April 30, 2009. The accepted articles will be published in IEEE Proceedings and will be included in the IEEE digital library.

AI, Machine Learning and Data Mining -- Track

September 14-16, 2009

Authors are invited to submit original papers to the "AI, Machine Learning and Data Mining" track of the "24th International Symposium on Computer and Information Sciences" (ISCIS-2009).

ISCIS is a large annual gathering of researchers from a broad spectrum of Computer and Information Sciences. The wide range of applications of AI, Machine Learning and Data Mining has attracted large number of high quality submissions over the past years; participants mainly enjoy the multidisciplinary research results presented at ISCIS.

The event will be composed of research presentations, keynote speeches, invited talks, and poster presentations. This year, ISCIS will be held on Sep 14-16, 2009, in North Cyprus, which combines beautiful bays with a sunny climate all year around.

The submitted papers must be original and currently not under review elsewhere. The accepted articles will be published in IEEE Proceedings and will be included in the IEEE digital library.

The submitted papers are expected to be in broad areas of AI, Machine Learning and Data Mining, including

  • New algorithms for association rules, classification, clustering, pattern discovery, etc
  • Models and algorithms for emerging applications in chemistry, biology, environment, sociology, streams, semantic web, and other scientific domains
  • Mining distributed, heterogeneous, spatial and temporal datasets
  • Mining textual and unstructured datasets
  • Scalable data mining algorithms
  • Social networks mining and analysis
  • Privacy preserving data mining algorithms
  • Integration of mining and multi-agents
  • Data mining in electronic commerce, such as recommendation, sponsored web search, advertising, and marketing tasks
  • Human-machine interaction and visual data mining
  • data warehousing, OLAP and data mining
  • Evolutionary computation
  • Knowledge representation and reasoning
  • Natural language processing
  • Robotics
  • Machine learning and knowledge discovery

Accepted papers will be presented at the symposium. Papers should be prepared following IEEE format, double column, minimum 10pt fonts, and up to 6 pages. The submissions will be through electronic submission system available on http://iscis.metu.edu.tr/submission

IMPORTANT DATES:
- Submission of papers: April 30, 2009

  • Notification of acceptance: June 15, 2009
  • Camera ready and registration due: July 1, 2009
  • Symposium date: September 14-16, 2009
