Can you please explain what is in your opinion the common sense of a relation (or sense or esential of the mathematical definition). Or you can writte the mathematical definition so that we can see what we talk about.

Is the relationship related to the entities? This is one reason more, that we have here the mathematical definition of the relation, and short explanation of its sense.
