Those who don't have a copy of TTM, 2nd Ed., may be interested to know that Darwen and Date have kindly made parts of the third edition (which has a new title) available gratis at www.thethirdmanifesto.com.

The old chapter four (which I find most helpful in understanding the logical starting points for D&D's vision of the rm) is now appendix A and includes some of the derivations from the old chapter five. It's at:
