STFW, and when the FAQ is really a Frequently AQ, it will show up in your searches more often than not. There are archives of usenet all over the web.

Mediacompetion is there.
Surely there would be more traffic here if cdt would be the only place where people like to discuss databases without having to delve into product specifics. I do not mind that at all.
Bringing down comp.databases traffic-level was an important goal when cdt was started. Increasing or decreasing cdt's does not seem particularly important at this time.

Aside, a nice FAQ-entry would be (especially if someone has some answers):

Q: Do you know other places where people like to discuss databases without having to delve into product specifics?
