Of course that it does matter, but the "uniqueness criteria" is an important starting point. BTW I reject the "interface criteria".

Of course. I meant that in natural language "if" often means: "if and only if".

Like in:

if ThereIsAnUniqueTranslation then
UpdateBaseRelVars
else
DoNothing;
