How do you 'navigate' union / projection / restriction / intersection / outer-join / anti-join / difference / division?

Only equi-join along a join dependency has the 'flavor' of navigation.

The obvious difference is that all relational operators have a precise definition. "Navigation" (as its quotation marks implies) don't. Received on Thu May 13 2004 - 12:00:50 CDT
