Besides the aforementioned book by Luca Cardelli, you can also download papers from his web site (he works for Microsoft Research, I believe - unfortunately). Many of them are quite good. Also look on CiteSeer (http://citeseer.nj.nec.com/cs) for research papers.

That said, you're unlikely to find a standard algebra. Basic issues such as subtyping by constraint vs. alternatives are still widely misunderstood. There's far less formal logic behind "objects" as compared with relations, sets, and even category theory.
