The formal object-role modeling language (FORML) encapsulates ORM, taking a systematic, rigorous approach to capturing business concepts. FORML conceptual modelers verbalize data, symbolize or diagram it in sentence form, constrain the conceptual model through facts that instantiate statements, and validate the model.
