What is a FLAT FILE ?
A FLAT FILE is just one table organized easily into fields and rows.
It is an easily structured table as in Appleworks, Access, and Dbase III & IV. A FLAT FILE is a single table file. In fact all data files were FLAT files before SQL (structure query language) came into existence. A database is either flat or relational. Received on Mon Jul 01 2002 - 08:33:34 CEST
