Go read a good book on vector spaces. You quoted a reasonably good explanation of orthogonality; _none_ of these newsgroups are suitable places for a discussion of the topic.

And keep in mind that spamming newsgroups with advertisements for a database product when you evidently don't have the right common terminology to discuss how it actually works is unlikely to be a terribly useful promotion strategy...
