Ok. In the meantime here's another small guess. Perhaps you've heard of DOM (the document object model) which could be described as an access model for (web) documents. The chair for the level 1 specification was Lauren Wood. I've never heard it called Wood's access model, but it sounds like a suitable subject for a small student task.
