Hi everyone,

i've recently passed from C to C++. Now i'd like to learn something about database programming, in particular i'm interested in the possibility to develope my own simple database system os-indipendent (eg. for an object persistence implementation, using the fstream). There are good references in the web for beginners? I cannot find nothing really useful about c++ standard (and os-indipendent) database programming. Please help me.
