The only uses I can imagine for XML is 1. transferring data between servers, or 2. storing metadata or application configurations. But I'm just a DBA still living in the year 2000 :) There is a pretty good description of XML and databases here: http://www.rpbourret.com/xml/XMLAndDatabases.htm - cb
