Say, has anyone out there given much thought to the design of a Universal
Data Model? Something along the lines of the one found in David Hay's book
"Data Model Patterns"
The data model had the following tables:
Attribute
(pg 256 for those who have it)
Attribute Assignment
Value
Relationship
Relationship Type
Value
| |
Relationship-------- Thing ----------------------| | | | --------- |
|
| |
|
| | Attribute Assignment | Relationship | | | | Type | | |
|
Thing Class Attribute
I'd really be interested on any thoughts on further refinements to
the above model.
(this is my first time in this newsgroup, and I am really impressed with the
quality of advice given)
Thanks in advance,
