You're question appeared in the Access developers site. You might want to try listing it again.
I do have one general suggestion for you, though. Don't try to store the user's data. Create a coded intermediary table that can decipher (later) the user's entries. Then, when the user selects an item, rather than storing the user's item, a variable is passed instead. You can use shorter data types this way, and do your deciphering clientside later on when the data is needed. This assumes that you have a finite list of potentially stored data.
