Did you make sure the cluster was setup correctly? Did you define an additional listener (running on a different port) for the new instance?
Do you have the instance defined on both nodes on the cluster? Do you have init.ora and the like on a *shared* disk (which will failover when necessary).
Just a few questions on information you didn't provide with your 'It doesn't work' type of request.

There is no way to accomplish this manually, or you must resort to hacking your way out.
BTW Sun has desupported Sun Cluster 2.2 quite a while ago, and Oracle likely won't support Suncluster configurations, so I guess you will be soon stuck.
