I think this is not completely true : Client 8.0.6 is in Extended Maintenance Support. I believe this is because this is the base of Forms 6i. Forms 6i is Oracle Certified for Windows XP and Windows 2000, if you have installed Patch 13 or higher. Forms 6i was originally not Certified but under customers pressure Oracle reviewed there point of view. You can check the Certification Matrix on Metalink.
