I have little experience with databases and know very basic sql.
From what I understand, Oracle 9i is the latest version.
I need a good book for beginners.
I'm a developer using Java and I plan to develop with jdbc.
I don't want a book that is intended for DBA.
Just setting up the basic things and a little more advanced stuff.
P.S.
I'm planning doing my development on the Linux platform. If possible, I don't want any Windows specific book. If there is also a book that covers Java and Oracle from which I can learn some Oracle basics, that will do fine. Received on Sun Jun 09 2002 - 10:38:10 CEST
