1. Is OMS started?

   ---

   $ oemctrl ping oms OEMCTRL for HP-UX: Version 2.2.0.0.0 Copyright (c) 1998, 2000, Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.

The management server is not running.
$ oemctrl start oms
OEMCTRL for HP-UX: Version 2.2.0.0.0
Copyright (c) 1998, 2000, Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved. Starting the Oracle Management Server.....

The OMS is now started and ready.

$

2. Try a default logon

Then change the password !!!
