Developer 2000 forms problem...

Can anyone help?
We have designed a new form and successfully compiled it (ie no error
mesage appeared). We can open and see the form and enter data however,
we cant save it. When we try to save the data entered a general error
message appears
Has anyone else had this problem, or have any advice as to likely
errors?
"FRM_40508: ORACLE error unable to INSERT record"
Any advice will be much appreciated.
