Oracle XML xsu.jar Insert Issue

I'm using insertXML() from the xsu.jar successfully, but when the XML file approaches 20 megs, I get a java.lang.outofmemory error. I tried issueing more memory to the java virtual machine, and then didn't help.
Has anyone tried to insert into oracle using XSU with large files and had success?
