     Thanks for reply. I am aware that the requirement mentioned is a bit typical. The only reason i would like to give up recoverability is that the data being inserted is important till the application and the interacting database are live. when i shut down the app. or the db, the data is not required. Meaning i just wanted a pool (place) where huge amounts data can be maintained for very short durations example being web session data or in other scenario debug logs generated from an application. So, for such structured voluminous data which has to be mainted for very short duration database is a good answer. But if redo logs are generated it is an overkill for the database.

     Please let me know if u have any other ideas in regards to same.
