I have the server
(platform - serverworks, 2 x pIII-800 Copermine, 2-chanal SCSI
Ulta 1600, 4 Gb -RAM)
OS- Windows 2000 server + SP2
Oracle 8i Release 3 (8.1.7) + patchset 8.7.2.1 Initialization Parameter File (INIT.ORA) db_block_buffers = 118425
shared_pool_size = 323380838
large_pool_size = 614400
db_block_size = 8192
sort_area_size = 5000000
By operation of a plenty of users there is error "ORA-04030 out of process memory when trying to allocate 131072 bytes
(cursor work he,KKRH Bit vector)"
Thus Oracle can not allocate memory more than 1,7 Gb. Whether can Oracle 8.1.7 to work on the operating system of a Windows 2000 with memory more than 2 Gb? What specific oracle parameters (init.ora) are necessary for using for the given configuration?
What reasons of occurrence of error ORA-04030? Received on Wed Nov 28 2001 - 12:37:56 CET
