If this is still a problem, my question is is the machie a P4? If so, Oracle has a known problem with the JIT compiler and the P4 chip. You can check OTN, but the short answer from Oracle is to copy the entire contents of the CD to disk and do a search for the file 'symcjit.dll' and rename them to 'symcjit.old. (Only within the CD image you just created) Now run the installer from the CD image. Good luck.
