First – geez! – don’t you think a single posting would be sufficient?

Anyway, there was just a complete discussion of certification over on the comp.databases.informix group. If you are interested in it you can look up on the International Informix Users Group archives (http://www.iiug.org/resources/usenet/cdi_archive.html). The consensus was pretty much that, as far as getting a job, certification is pretty useless.

My personal experience (I have a couple of certifications) is they may help a little with recruiters and HR people, but are meaningless to the technical manager that will actually do the hiring (and may even be a negative).
