Hi All,

This seems like a stupid question to ask, but I can't find the answer myself!

I've got Dev2000 and 7.3.3.6 installed in two different ORA_ROOTs on the same OpenVMS 7.1 node. I'm trying to attain the same OPS$ account functionality we have under 7.1.5, in that we'd like to be able to do something like: FRUN45 / blah blah to login to the database. I also do NOT want to enable REMOTE_OS_AUTHENT. This just makes the DB too trusting for our

Now, according to Oracle this is possible, and I believe it's tied into the bequeath adapter. The bequeath listener is running, but I can't for the life of me get any of the Dev2000 tools to connect via it (they'll happily connect via IPC or TCP). What I don't know is how the connection is made. I'm assuming I need an additional config in TNSNAMES.ORA, but can't find the syntax anywhere (syntax for Unix I can find).

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks for the read,
Blair
