Dear shonaro:

They're all relatively user-friendly databases which don't require a lot of programming knowledge to work.

Approach has been long considered the easiest for a non-database person to use.

Access and Paradox are a little more difficult to use, but still user friendly.  Both have the ability to move way beyond Approach in database design complexity.

Access is more user friendly in the beginning, but can be more difficult to work with as you progress into more complex tasks.

The same is true of Paradox.

They all communicate best with their other "suite" products, so if you're working in an MS environment, it would be best to stick to Access, Corel's WordPerfect for Paradox and Lotus for Approach.

Hope this helps.
