8.0.5 on AIX

Currently, I'm trying to install Oracle 8.0.5 on AIX 4.3.2 on an IBM RS/6000 server. I'm having major problems installing because it seems that the filenames from the CD are cut off to 8 CHARACTERS! has anyone had similar problems? Help!
