I am thinking of setting up a server with my ISP to hold all the snapshot tables.

I am thinking of setting up a server with my ISP to hold all the snapshot tables.
Will Oracle basic replication work over the internet.
ie people will log into the net run a app which calls through a database
link
to the server at the ISP and refresh the snapshots held locally.
I will be trying this shortly but would like to know if it possible or has been tried ??
