Oracle 8 and Designer2000

Hello everyone,

I'm getting despaired here; It's been two weeks since I'm trying to connect to the local DB (starter DB oracle 8) via Designer2000. It seems to be a tnsnames file configuration problems. I used Easy Net config, and Net8 assistant to configure it. I'm wondering if I should use ODBC drivers and what protocol should I use to connecting to local DB.
I using a stand-alone Compaq machine with Win95, Personal Oracle 8, Designer 2000 1.3.xx , no network software installed, not even a network card.

Have anyone had experiences with this kind of problem or understands what I'm talking about here?
