As a consulting DBA, typical responsibilities include installation of the RDBMS engine, configuration of the installation, designing the conceptual model, creation of physical model, in addition to performance tuning and monitoring the day to day operations of the engine over the project life cycle.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience with installation and
management of an Enterprise level RDBMS
engine, such as Sybase System 10 or System 11, Oracle 7.X, Microsoft SQL
Server 6.X, Informix 6 or higher or Ingres /
OpenIngres.
