I have a web site running IIS 3.0 + ASP and using Oracle 7.3 as database server.
At the moment i am connecting to oracle running on a separate Sparc Solaris machine and everything works fine. I Installed the site in the client machine which is running the webserver and workgroup oracle 7.3.
I have created a system DSN using the microsoft ODBC driver for oracle and I tested it working perfectly.
As soon as the webserver tries to query the database I get this error : TNS 12641
Looks like the server is trying to authenticate the connection and fails.
The problem is that if I run an odbc test logging in as the user the webserver runs as (IUSR_MACHINENAME) the test runs prefectly...and the same driver is able to connect to my oracle database running on unix.

if anybody has any idea about it let me know

thanks in advance
