Database Administrator

Our Caresoft development team is looking for a talented Database Administrator with experience creating prototype database environments. The database administrator would be responsible for database optimization and maintenance, database modeling, network integration and security, server monitoring, database replication management and database backup scheduling. This person will set up and maintain a wide area distributed database environment across multiple sites, work closely with the development team as well as the operations group. The ideal candidate would be familiar with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase or Informix database systems, ODBC, JDBC and have prior experience working in a database-web development environment.

Job Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)

  • Solid SQL programming skills (stored procedures, optimization)
  • Industry knowledge of Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL Server, ODBC, JDBC
  • DB replication management experience
  • DB benchmarking experience
  • Experience with Perl programming
  • Solid understanding of web-database applications
  • Self-motivated, with a track record of success.
