Currently running MS SQL SERVER 6.0. Considering upgrading to 6.5 for
'better' replication.
- Would like to replicate from MS SQL SERVER 6.5 (NT 4.0 naturally) to
Oracle 7.x or SYBASE 11.0 (both Sun Solaris) with 'table a'.
- Would like to replicate 'table b' from Oracle 7.x or SYBASE 11.0 to
MS SQL SERVER 6.5.
Anyone done either 'way'.
I don't currently have access to the Oracle or Sybase DBMS - so I can't
just try it.
3) Also, although it makes no sense to me, some info I have (which MS
can't seem to confirm or deny) that mentions a hardware(?)requirements
that the MS SQL SERVER distributor process needs to run on the same
architecture (i.e. intel, alpha etc.) that the target DBMS runs on for
the MS SQL SERVER --> target DBMS replication....
Any help greatly appreciated!!!!
