how do I set the default rollback seg for a user?

I bumped into this error today, after the fifth or sixth insert into a table.

ORA-1552: cannot use system rollback segment for non-system tablespace 'COLLECTOR' I have the default tablespace set to COLLECTOR for this user. Why would it try to use the system rollback space???? How do I correct this?
