Guaranty National, a growing property and casualty insurance company, has the following position available:

ORACLE DEVELOPER/DBA (Dept OD1110)
Specific responsibilities include development and support for our Decision Support System using Oracle 7. The selected individual's skills will include PL/SQL, SQL*Plus and Oracle tools - Discoverer2000 and Developer2000 with Reports 2.X and Forms 4.X. Knowledge of Designer2000 is a plus. Other activities include supporting users, resolving problems and partial responsibility for database administration, maintenance, tuning and upgrades of Oracle RDBMS in a DEC/Alpha Unix environment.
  The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent and/or significant related experience. Requirements include 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle 7, SQL and relational database design principles. You must be a team player with strong customer service, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. Also desirable is knowledge of UNIX, shell scripting and client/server architecture.
