Job Description:

Requires BSCS and 6-10 years software development/engineering experience. Must have ability to program in Oracle Pro*C, PL/SQL, Triggers and packages; C and C++; Unix Shell scripting and socket programming; CGI-bin and HTML. Also requires Database design and tuning experience. Must be a team player with excellent communications skills. Effective time management skills are essential. Prefer experience with Java programming and Netscape Commerce Server. Familiarity with new WWW security standards and key commercial WWW tools, including: HTTP server management, electronic commerce, text indexing/search, and sockets is helpful. Also prefer software development on Macintosh, Windows, and Windows NT.

Develop shared WWW applications with open API's for use by development groups across Cisco. Develop core Web infrastructure applications and tools in Unix, C, C++, Perl, PL/SQL and Oracle RDBMS. Support the definition of technical architectures in support of WWW applications. Evaluate, acquire, and deploy emerging, state-of-the-art tools/technology in support of Cisco's Web and interactive CD-ROM efforts.
