The ulimit is a unix parameter. Check your OS documentation for how to reset it. I've done it but I can't remember how at the moment. If you have a system administrator running around he/she might be able to tell you. The IUG is the Installation and User Guide.

No idea.

SQL*Menu is not supported with Oracle 7.3 but then I don't know what version you are running so this may not apply. You might try relinking the executables. But, I haven't seen SQL*Menu run with motif. I was under the impression it was just character based like SQL*Forms 3.0.
